Gladys and Abner: Is there anyone in Mangolia who has not eaten here? It is a very popular neighborhood spot and the food is consistently good. Friendly and fast service. Perfect for families.
NWSource.com: “…I chose El Ranchon, a Mexican restaurant that serves the best sangria outside Spain, or so I was told by a fellow diner. The food was fine and I really liked the genuine friendliness.”

The best place in town to take your children. We go there about once a week. My children have learned their restaurant manners there and the staff is wonderful and just like family. Can’t say enough good things. A real treasure in our neighborhood.

Great lively spot for a quick dinner…all age groups welcome. The food is not fancy but you can count on consistency every time and it’s good. The best part is Abraham and his friendly staff. Now there’s a business owner who knows how to welcome his customers and make them feel special!

Great seafood dishes, which can be hard to find mexican-style! Also a nice variety, even some pretty healthy options. And of course, wonderful friendly staff.

Probably one of my top five favourite restaurants and we go there alot of the time. Delicious food and excellent staff.
P.S. Cal, you might want to stop insulting others manners and learn how to spell.

There is no reason to leave Magnolia to get good Mexican or Tex-Mex food.

We love El Ranchon….the food, the service , the owners greeting you and remembering you. The
kind of place every small town needs, and after all, isn’t Magnolia really just a small town?

Food is ok… I prefer La Palma on 15th, but the one thing I love about El Ranchon is the guacamole. It is TO DIE FOR. Best guac I've ever had anywhere, EVER. Period. Which is probably why they charge a totally unreasonable amount for a side of it. But I'll usually splurge for it.
I have noticed when I was getting take out there for lunch semi-regularly, the prices seem to change from week to week. Like, I almost thought the clerks just either didn't know what the right prices were or made them up. One day a dish would be a few dollars more or less than the same dish was a week before.

The food is OK. Kind of bland. Not really like they are cooking for themselves. More lettuce than should be allowed on tostadas. Where's the meat? The staff is consistently friendly and the service is good. One reason to go elsewhere for Mexican. Senor Moose.!

Commonly known as “The Ranch”. El Ranchon is my son's favortie place to grab a burger. I love the Ranchon Burrito with a side of Margarita on the rocks.

It's dependable formula Mexican food for gringos, but the atmosphere and the family-anchored service is some of the best. With places like Senor Moose and La Carta de Oaxaca doing a land-office business, let's hope we seem a little more adventure on the menu soon.

I love the staff and owner, always friendly and fun. I really enjoy all the food, in spite of the fact all my mexican friends say it is not authentic….oh well.

I go to this restaurant alot.
I am always made to feel comfortable and enjoy my food even if I am alone and reading my magazine.
Maybe the food is not gourmet or real Mexican, but it tastes good. Comfort and service is more important to me.
Raul and Abraham always make me feel welcome, although I just can’t figure out which are their sisters or their wives , but they are always gracious too..

Sorry I know this is a busy place but has to be the worst Mexican food I have ever had…margaritas are awesome though.

Fish tacos are new to the menu. Theirs are dipped in egg batter - so if you have a problem with eggs, like I do, not for you!
