Teriyaki Bowl

September 1st, 2008 · 10 Comments

Teriyaki Bowl (Japanese)
Government Way
Seattle, WA 98199

Gladys and Abner:  We recommend Teriyaki Bowl.  The chicken is very moist and tasty.  The owners are very friendly and accomodating.  Fast service.  Perfect for take out.

Really a good place for a good meal at a great price with friendly quick service. Eat in or take out.

This is our go-to place for dinner in a hurry. We love the food and the people are always nice, efficient, and accomodating. We get one order with extra meat for me, my husband, and our two year old and always have leftovers. Great, cheap, and convenient!

Good food at a reasonable price. Very fast service!

Picked up an order for five last Friday. The service was great. The food was third rate!

The “tempura” type breading was strange. It was not typical of Japanese tempura. It was more like fish and chips, and did not taste good.

The tempura prawns were almost spoiled. We could not eat them.

The pot stickers were from Costco. The packaged curry sauce had been watered down to the consistency of soup, with mixed frozen carrots and peas added.

The tonkatsu pork cutlet was not freshly cooked. I suspect that it had been frozen or refrigerated after it was cooked, and then warmed up for serving.

The teriyaki chicken was no where near as good as Ichiro’s. Again, I suspect that it had been pre-cooked and warmed up for serving.

Even the rice was of a poor quality. It was not a premium Texas long grain rice. You can always tell the quality of an Asian restaurant by the quality of its rice. “Bad rice. Bad food”.

    Ichiro’s is still “Number One”.

    “Texas long grain”???

that is NOT good rice! by saying something dumb like that your entire “review” is suspect.

    YOU MAKE ME LAUGH.

I think I would rather have the Asian restaurants that I visit serve Jasmine rice over “Texas long grain”.

Went there twice and both times the food was really disappointing…the teriyaki chicken could have been anything….shoe leather or rags…the beef was tough and the T-sauce was too salty. The rice was gummy. Where do they get their recipes from, the contractor who built the place??

Love the T Bowl. I go there at least once or twice per week. I recommend the mongolian beef, tonkatsu and short ribs. the salad dressing sucks, I either skip it, or use my own from home…
