Is it still a snow day if there is no snow?

December 17th, 2008 · 1 Comment

Lots of people scratching their heads as they look out the window today.  No snow in sight and now a new forecast from the National Weather Service says the Seattle area may only see up to an inch of snow today and a total of 1 to 3 inches tonight, “heaviest on the hills and north of Seattle.” The original forecast had snow moving into Seattle this morning for total accumulations of 2 to 5 inches by tonight. While areas north and south of the metro area are seeing plenty of snow, barely a flake has fallen in Seattle so far.

With Seattle schools closed today, lots of kids are no doubt waiting and hoping for snow but they may not get their wish after all.  Looks like lots of people decided to stay home today but with warmer than expected temperatures its turning out to be just another winter day.

What a big surprise no snow. I get so tired of the news and their “Arctic Blast Winter Weather Watch” give me a break. (okay now watch it snow 4 inches before 5:00 )
