Snow day for kids as storm heads our way

Parents are scrambling this morning as schools are closed in anticipation of snow in the Seattle area this afternoon. It’s already snowing north of Everett and south of Tacoma, but snow here is not expected until mid to late morning. The National Weather Service’s latest update is still calling for up to 2 inches in Seattle today and 2 to 5 inches by tonight, which will certainly complicate the evening commute. Metro is still operating on its standard schedule, but Microsoft’s Connector buses have already canceled their routes.
