Forecasters say we are now in a classic melting pattern. It is messy and slushy and almost harder to get around in this mess than the ice.
Magnolia Voice reader Kathy shares her experience and these pictures from her afternoon trip to The Village.
It is 35, melting, raining, windy, slushy and slick. Mad rush at Bartells for last minute shoppers, including me and I promptly got stuck in the parking lot in the slush. Dug out of the one, came home and made a run for the driveway, lost momentum and was then stuck hanging out into the street two feet. Between shovel and kitty litter I cleared the driveway barely. This is worse than the snow/ compact snow. Next year I’m going to Hawaii.
Sounds like that sums up how most of us are feeling right now.
Here is a shot of McGraw looking down into The Village. Thanks for the great pictures Kathy!
