The most expensive real estate for sale in Magnolia

February 2nd, 2009 · View Comments

With the current troubles in the real estate market, we like to keep our eye on home sales in Magnolia. We noticed that two homes have recently been listed for $3.9 million in our area. They are the two highest priced homes for sale in Magnolia right now.

This home on the water at 4315 West Semple has six bedrooms and four and three quarters baths and almost 8,000 square feet. Its listed as an expansive waterfront estate on over two acres and 190 ft of Puget Sound waterfront. it has a main house and a guest cottage with a game room.

This new house at 1826 Dartmouth Ave West has 7500 square feet with four bedrooms and four bathrooms with a close up panoramic views.  The two story house has floor to ceiling windows and a master bath with heated walls and an indoor pool with waterfall, hot tub and sauna. It also has a six car garage.

It will be interesting to see if there are buyers in this market for homes in this price range.

Nice joints. I wonder why the waterfront house is on the market now? Maybe even the rich feel the pain in this economy? Or maybe if you have 3.9 million it does not really matter what the economy is doing?
I wonder how much for the guest cottage?

2nd one looks like a highschool art project. Not ugly but not homey either.
