Rose care class at Garden Center

Now is the time to prune your roses for summer blooms and the Magnolia Garden Center is holding a free class on Saturday (2/28) at 10 a.m. to show you how.

Bring your pruners for a hands on demonstration. You’ll also learn how best to feed and care for roses now and throughout the growing season. This is the second in a series of Saturday morning classes at the Garden Center. Click here for more information.

I attended this class on Saturday and found it to be very informative. Don (who I believe is also the owner of the Garden Center) spent many years raising and harvesting cut roses and has great depth of experience. He gave us tips for feeding and pruning. Turns out, the business of roses isn’t as “thorny” as one might expect! Thanks for offering this class.
