We wanted to give you an update on the big sidewalk project going on in The Village.
City crews tell us that early next week the workers will be pouring concrete sidewalk and replacing a broken street panel in the southbound lane. That means that traffic on 32nd Ave W will be detoured south of West McGraw starting Monday morning (June 22nd) and lasting through Thursday morning (June 25th).
They are asking people to avoid walking in or near areas with newly poured concrete and to please use the temporary walkways to get to Laurie’s Village Salon and Nikos Gyros.
The work area will be especially busy Monday through Wednesday as they hope to get most of the work completed by Wednesday afternoon with the goal of a fully operational new sidewalk and business access Thursday morning.
The city crews also asked us to thank Magnolia residents for their patience during this work project.

Umm, Alexandra, based on this article entitled “Sidewalk work to be completed this week” and the other details given, I’m going to go with mostly completed on Wednesday with full completion on Thursday?
