A new restaurant is set to open in The Village in a few weeks and the bakery cafe will offer breakfast, lunch and pie. Seattle Pie is the dream of owners Alyssa and Patrick Lewis.
Alyssa and Patrick (seen here with their sons Luke and Owen) searched all over the city for the right place to open their new restaurant before finding exactly what they were looking for in Magnolia. They say they fell in love with the neighborhood and they are moving here too.
We got a sneak peek of the restaurant that is located in the former John L Scott office at 3111 McGraw Street.
Alyssa and Patrick have been baking for 13 years and their menu features a wide variety of pies for sale by the slice or whole. Breakast will include Swedish Pancakes, Quiche and baked goods. The coffee is from Pura Vida. Lunch is fresh made sandwiches, soups and salad. They say the food will be very old fashioned and natural.
Here is the pie section of the menu:
Prices are reasonable with whole sandwiches for $5.95 and Swedish Pancakes are $6.75 for two. There will also be fresh baked goods and donuts each day. They plan to offer baking classes for children and for every pie they sell they will make a donation to a local school for deaf children.
We will let you know as soon as they have a firm opening date.

Yay!
The decor in the preview pic is a little sparse. Hope they add to it before opening. The pie list makes up for that, in any case. Very excited.

What does Microsoft have to do with “Apple” on the pie menu?
Most of us don’t work for Microsoft and we could careless about seeing their name on a pie menu.
What do you plan to call the Apple Economy crumble pie when the economy recovers?

Great idea! Looking forward to the Swedish pancakes and it looks like good prices for sliced pie and pancakes. I wish people would get more creative with the lunch around Magnolia though. Why all the sandwiches and soup? Love the idea of the donations. I can’t wait to try out this place.

Great! A wholesome, local alternative to Subway for lunch. I hope they beef up the breakfast menu on the weekend and offer brunch with egg dishes similar to what is available at 5-Spot and the Hi-Life. Magnolia desperately needs a brunch place!!

Lighten up, DavidB, it’s just pie.
I expect they’re just trying to be cute with the names. So long as the pie is good I don’t care what they call it.

Do you need a user license to eat the Microsoft Apple? Or is it sold by the slice…?

Oh boy, pie!
I think it’s a play between M’soft (Gates) and Apple (Jobs) . . . If it is Microsoft apple pie, hopefully they’ll get it right the first time and we won’t have M’soft apple 2.0 and then 3.0 and then . . . .

What a wonderful addition Alyssa & Patrick’s Seattle Pie will make to Magnolia! We stopped by today, and they (and Luke & Owen) couldn’t be nicer - we wish them much success!

This place seems to have potential. I'd really like to see this work out for them and more advertising would help. I had no idea they offered sandwiches and salad. I walked in and found one stapled menu. I think it's great they offer other things and they should be screaming it from the rooftops so we'll all know to go back in and try their food. I'm looking forward to it!

We ordered pies for Thanksgiving and when we went to pick them up they were closed. When I ordered them the person taking the order never advised that they were closing at noon on Thanksgiving. Actually I called twice; the second time to order an additional pie and again they never said anything about them closing at Noon. When ordering they asked for my phone number so it wasn't an issue of them not being able to get a hold of me, but didn't even to call to say they were closing and to come and pick up my pies. Very disappointing as I like to support local businesses, but will not do so here anymore. I had to pay in advance which I don't mind, but I expect my money back when they open on Saturday. The pies are good and the staff has been friendly in the past so am extremely disappointed and disillusioned with our local pie company.
