Fish and Wildlife officials will keep close tabs on the cougar who is now known as his tag number, 1010.
He has been fitted with a tracking collar so that they can follow 1010 once he is released into the wild. While it is unlikely he will try to return to Discovery Park, they will be able to find him quickly if he does.
