Magnolia resident Kay Ramsay received some much needed aid from a pair of good samaritians in Magnolia recently and she wants to say thank you.
Having been unable to thank these kind people I am turning to you to see if you can help me. On Saturday, October 3 I fell on 33rd Ave.W. about a block away from Thriftway. I managed to pick up myself and walked to 32nd just across the street from Our Lady of Fatima where I was stopped by a passing car to see if they could help me. I thanked them and told them I was nearly home, but the owner thought that they should call 911. (I hadn’t seen myself and found out afterwards that I looked quite a sight!) This they did, in the meanwhile covering me up with beach towels that they had in the car. The fire truck came (with those dear smiling firemen) and then the ambulance which whisked me off to Harborview. Mr.and Mrs. Samaritian left without me thanking them or returning their towels. I have tried several places hoping to find them but so far they are still anonymous. I feel so grateful to them and for helping me get such special help at Harborview. I do hope they hear somehow of my gratefulness to them.
If you helped Kay or you know who did, please write to us at tips@magnoliavoice.com and we will put you in touch with her.

I am one of the fire fighters who responded to Kay's tussle with gravity. I would also like to thank again the man who actually stopped to help Kay as well as call us. After filling us in at the scene as to how he found Kay, he quietly left. More often than not, folks simply drive by looking and at best might later make a call to 911 from their car. If you ever find yourself undecided about stopping to help, just picture the person out there as a loved one. Your decision will be easy if you do……
