Our featured pet this week is Swiper, a tricolor Jack Russell mix. He is a very cute dog with big black polka dots on his head.
Swiper is friendly and likes humans, but he has a mind of his own and is so interested in all the good smells and things to see and do outside that he sometimes has a hard time focusing on his humans. He’s a strong and athletic boy, and because he is only one year old he has a ton of energy. He would be a great jogging partner, and is always up for a good game of fetch.
Swiper is in need of a very experienced guardian who will be a strong leader, and take him to obedience classes to help him focus and become a good canine citizen. He’d do best in a home with just adults, although older teenagers might be ok. He’s good with some other dogs, but is not good with cats.
Swiper is a real diamond in the rough. With positive training and plenty of exercise and love, he’ll light up your life. Stop by and visit Swiper at the Seattle Animal Shelter located at 2061 – 15th Avenue West. They’re open daily from noon to 6pm daily. (Beginning October 26, the shelter will be closed on Mondays.)
