There is a community meeting set for Wednesday, October 28 at 6p.m. to review the first year of cruise operations at the new Smith Cove Cruise Terminal. Now that the season is over, Magnolia residents are asked to provide feedback about the cruise ships at Terminal 91. When the ships first arrived in May, there were concerns raised about the horn and music noise. The Port promised to reduce excessive music noise but the ship horns are required each afternoon.
The end of the season wrap up meeting will also give residents a chance to learn about cruise plans for 2010. Discussion topics will include transportation, environmental considerations and the vessel schedule. If you can’t attend the meeting, you can submit a comment or question via email at cruise-seattle@portseattle.org. .
The meeting will be held at the Queen Anne-Magnolia Dept. of Neighborhoods Office at 160 Roy Street. If you would like to attend, you need to email delfierro.s@portseattle.org or call 206-787-3837. There will be a light meal served so they need a head count.
