Brown street signs mark history

Seattle Parks and Recreation and the Seattle Department of Transportation (SDOT) are replacing old, green street signs on Seattle’s historic Olmsted boulevards with brown signs to make them easily recognizable.  Magnolia Blvd West will get one of the new brown signs.  Our friends at Queen Anne View found one of the brown signs that is already installed.

Here is a list of Seattle’s Olmsted Boulevards, the historic streets throughout the city named after the Olmsted brothers, who laid the original groundwork for Seattle’s public parks back in 1903.
