We were planning to be there, but ran into a conflict this thu. I sure hope someone brings up the comment that Ruffner left a couple months ago under "Airplane noise on the rise". Maybe Ruffner will be there to voice this, but just in case here is a summary of his info. We need to address this!! He referenced this website that has a visual depiction of all approaches into Boeing Field. http://www.airnav.com/airport/. Click on the link next to: ILS RWY 13R to view this approach). This is the one creating all the noise over the neighborhood.
There are other approach options that take aircraft out over Elliott Bay on their arrival. These approaches are the: RNAV (GPS) Y RWY 13R and the HARBOR VISUAL RWY 13R. Let's find out why they won't use these options instead!!!
Thanks Ruffner for providing this info.
    Good luck on Thursday!

Welcome to the world that the U-district and Ravenna lives in...they've been dealing with the whine from the engines for a long time... Be grateful you don't live along the usual take-off path. Take-off noise is much worse. And how is this different from the noise of the seaplanes? Those engines have a much more pervasive noise signature and are particularly annoying during the summer months.

It's about time! I wake up every morning at 5:00 am due to the flight path.
