We live in Blue Ridge. My wife and I saw two coyotes while walking our dogs a couple nights ago.

It's a coyote invasion.

I was going to say that it may be more than one coyote.
Also, I am thinking it's no longer news considering it's hardly the first time we've had coyotes in Magnolia and probably is not the last. It may even be a normal occurrence now.

That sucker does get around. But so far he has stayed away from my neighborhood near Disco Park. And I have an outdoor cat so it is something I think about.

Finally, are you beginning to understand that seeing a coyote in Magnolia ceased to be newsworthy long ago? There must be other things going on in Magnolia that are newsworthy or, at the least, interesting.

I had a very interesting/scary run in with the coyote this morning. I left my house on 22nd and Rufner with my two dogs at 6:30am. We were half a block up the road when the coyote came out of the neighbors property (it was about 3 houses up from where we were). At first it seemed very skittish but eventually it started walking toward us. I immediately turned and headed back toward my driveway. By the time I reached my yard it was jogging toward us. I’ve seen coyotes plenty of times but I’ve never had one come toward me. Clearly it was after my dogs (or at least the small one). I’m definitely hoping it’s not getting more aggressive in a hungry state.

In short, keep your pets inside or on a leash.

I just saw a cyote down in the interbay ball field. It just stared at me, I got my dogs in my car and it came very close to the car.. my dogs wanted out so bad, but I doubt it would have been a very good play mate. Jan 20th, 10:41 pm.
