Our featured pet from the Seattle Animal Shelter this week is Kleo.
This sweet Chow Chow/Shepherd mix is looking for a mellow home. She’s eight years old, house trained and spayed. Her previous owners got her as a puppy but sadly lost their home recently and had to give Kleo up. Although this has been tough on poor Kleo, she’s ready to move on and start a new life with a new family. She’s currently living with a foster family and is not at the shelter.
Kleo likes attention but she’s not the overly cuddly type, typical of the Chow in her. She’s fairly easy to handle, friendly, calm, gentle and cooperative. A home with some dog experience would be good for her. She likes some other dogs but those pesky felines aren’t her cup of tea and she needs a cat-free home.
Kleo is happy with leisurely walks and would do well in a calm environment. As you can see in her pictures, she has a thick lush coat that will need regular grooming. If you?re ready to make a lifelong commitment to this sweet girl, you can find out more information about her here. The Seattle Animal Shelter is located at 2061-15th Ave W (1 mile south of the Ballard Bridge ), and is open for adoptions Tuesday-Sunday from noon-6:00pm (closed on holidays). You can find additional adoption information here.
