Blimp soccer

Check out this photo of Magnolia kids at soccer practice while the Farmer’s blimp hovers overhead. The blimp has been cruising over Magnolia the last few days.

Okay, I have to nitpick. It is not a blimp. It is a true zeppelin. Zeppelins have a frame, whereas blimps (like the Goodyear blimp) are frameless, almost like big balloons. The zeppelin in the photo is the Zeppelin Eureka of Airship Ventures (http://www.airshipventures.com/) and it’s the only true zeppelin in the U.S. right now. There is an interesting story behind how it came to be here.
