Roads remain icy in places

November 24th, 2010 · 6 Comments

Thanks to Charlie for these pictures and information from his neighborhood:  Obviously there’s still plenty of ice and the steeper hills are still plenty treacherous.  We live on the corner of W. Manor Place and 25th PL W on the east side of the hill.  This is across the street.   This car (with California plates) didn’t do so well.

    It’s still there this morning.

    That’s because they’re probably:

1: Waiting for CHP officers Poncherello and Jon to come and pick it up.

2: Said forget it and they’re just going to buy a SUV instead.

3: Too busy blogging/twittering/livejournaling/youtubeing/redditting/4chaning/facebooking about the Snowpocalypse to bother to return to the vehicle

4: Confused why 911 wont respond to pick up their vehicle

5: Filing a petition with the MCC about the poor snow cleanup

Perfect example of a CA driver. Thanks for proving a point!

Last I checked, it didn’t seem like many Seattle drivers had much of a clue as to how to drive in the snow. But let’s make fun of the Californians.

Hello! McFLY! You’re in Magnolia not Santa CRUUUUUUZ!

On a second thought, Californians could boost our economy by inventing jobs for us to do when they are up here. We can have a team of locals act as Sherpas for the Californians, but instead of guiding you up the largest mountain in the world, we could make you rent a Drivers-Ed-Car so we can monitor your driving! No more CALIFORNIA stopping for you bub! Who’s in?!
