Benefit for tornado victims Saturday

The Magnolia Presbyterian Church is sponsoring a Concert for Joplin to raise funds for students in the Joplin Missouri Public Schools.  The area was hit by a devastating tornado earlier this year and residents are still struggling to meet basic needs.

The concert is set for Saturday (8/6) at 7p.m. at the church at 3051 28th Ave West.  Magnolia residents Cathy Britell and William Limbach will present ?Sweet Songs and Tunes? in two 30 minute segments.  There will also be information about the situation in Joplin.

Magnolia Presbyterian has a family connection with Joplin and all money raised at the concert will be sent to help students in Joplin schools.

Britell and Limbach describe their music as both old and new, and their concerts are aimed at informing, inspiring and entertaining audiences.  They recently introduced their first recording, ?Songs: One Autoharp, One Guitar, Two Voices.? A sample of their music can be heard here.
