Michael Todd Smith, general manager at Mondello Ristorante in the Village suffered a severe accident recently while riding his motorcycle near Port Townsend.
Smith is in 24-hour care and, while he endured no permanent physical damage, expects to spend the next several months in physical therapy.
Mondello owner Corino Bonjrada and staff at the restaurant will be holding a brunch in Smith’s honor, from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 2, to help Smith pay for medical bills. The brunch is free but Bonjrada hopes that at the end of the brunch, attendees will donate money into an account in Smith’s name at the People’s Bank in Magnolia.
If you would like to attend the brunch, please make a reservation at 206-352-8700.
