Lawton Elementary School fourth and fifth grade students are busy getting ready for tomorrow night’s?presentations on the election process for parents and guests. The students worked in?teams to?gather and develop information on the state and national races as well as the initiatives and referendums facing voters.? Students used? the state and county Voter?s Pamphlet as a jumping off point, with additional help from the Internet.?They then put everything into Power Point.

Award winning teacher and 26-year veteran of the classroom, Peter Hubbard is the master-mind behind this fun and educational project.?He had help from the Magnolia/Queen Anne District Council, the 36th District Republican/Democrat members and The Magnolia Historical Society as well.

All are welcome?at Lawton’s Election Night- come learn about election issues and ballot measures, and there will be a mock election,?with audience participation.

The fun starts at 6:30 pm in Lawton’s cafeteria.
