Burglary suspect in tree delays Sounder train

8:50 a.m. Police say the suspect came down from the tree on his own. He’s believed to be a suspect in a “nearby felony property damage call,” police say. The Sounder rail line should resume shortly.

7:30 a.m. Seattle Police have surrounded a man high up a tree at 34th Ave. W and Gilman Ave who may be related to a burglary.

Since the police action is near the railroad tracks, the Seattle-Edmonds Sounder train has been delayed. The incident has been ongoing since 5:30 this morning.

Police called the fire department to assist them, and a rope rescue team has responded. We’ll update as we learn more…
