There have been several coyote sightings in Magnolia this week- have you seen the little guy or gal?

  1. What does he/she look like? I have lived in Magnolia over 20 years and each year there are coyote sightings. Discovery Park seems to have an abundance of them.

    1. They show up in Discovery Park due to the abundance of rabbits. A friend in the Navy lived on officers row a few years ago told me they saw them all the time chasing rabbits. The Dept of Wildlife claims there are tons of coyotes all over the city of Seattle…including QA, Capitol Hill, Magnolia,Beacon Hill, Interbay, and Ballard. Rare, but they are even seen downtown and the waterfront on occasion.

      1. Many of those rabbits are abandoned easter pets that people get for their kids on a whim. I have walked in the park and seen lop ears of all types jumping around like frogs wherever I stepped. Wish people wouldn’t use animals as toys for their kids, then discard them when no one takes responsibility for the care.

        1. Would you rather the coyote eat your dog, cat or small child instead? Thank goodness for the Easter Bunny!

          1. I’m okay with it eating someone else’s dog, cat, or small child 🙂
