Welcome, Summerfest!

Let the games begin! Summerfest has officially arrived in Magnolia.  The festival just opened and the sidewalk sale is in full swing.  There really is something for everyone- bouncy houses, great food, art, music, a beer garden…and so much more! Here is a complete rundown of the weekend’s events:

Friday, August 1st

 11:00 am         Festival Opens

 All Day            Magnolia Merchants Sidewalk Sale
11am-6pm Vendors Open

 Main Stage:  

3:00 PM to 3:45 PM – Those Guys

4:15 PM to 5:00 PM – SixFootSavage

5:30 PM to 6:15 PM –Audiochunk

6:45 PM to 7:30 PM – The Staxx Brothers

7:30 PM    Art Awards

8:00 PM to 9:30 PM – Soul Purpose

 Kid’s Stage:
12 noon Alan Hirsch
1pm   Clay Marvin Puppets
2pm Roving Reptiles
3pm Clay Marvin Puppets
4pm Alan Hirsch 

 

6:45 – 7:30       Art Reception – Artist’s Tent
7:00 pm           Youth Talent Show (on hill in back of Community Center)

9:00 pm        Outdoor Movie

Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory  (projected on Community Center wall).

Saturday, August 2nd

All Day            Magnolia Merchants Sidewalk Sale
10am-6pm Vendors Open

10:30 am         Seafair Kid’s Parade  (staging at 10:00 am at W Raye and 34th W)

11:00 am         Main Seafair Parade  (staging at 10:00 am between W Raye & W Barrett on 34th W)

 

12:00 pm         Baby Races at Magnolia Garden Center (right after the Parade).

Main Stage

12:00 PM to 1 PM – Sunshine From Polynesia

1:30 PM to 2:15 PM – Quintessence Brass Ensemble

2:45 PM to 3:30 PM – Goldbar

4:00 PM to 4:45 PM – Hook Me Up

5:15 PM to 6:00PM – Zarni

6:30 PM to 7:15 PM – The Jealous Dogs

7:45 PM to 9:00 PM – The High Council

    Just a silly question…I wonder why there was not a food truck selling Corn Dogs at the Summerfest ? I can’t tell you how many people were trying to find them.
