Curious Magnolia residents noticed the sudden absence of the white Environmental Review sign which was previously attached to the boarded-over windows on the building south of Ace Hardware. Building owner Terry Yoshikawa had plans to construct a four-story mixed use complex of apartments and ground floor retail on 32nd Avenue, as reported by Magnolia Voice.
After speaking with the architectural firm of Roger H Newell, Magnolia Voice has learned the project continues with only a few delays while they reply to corrections requested by the City of Seattle.
?We?re in process with the Seattle Department of Planning and Development,? reassures Neal Thompson, project architect working with Newell. ?Construction should start soon, hopefully by this summer. It?s a typical process with the city taking a little longer than anticipated.?
Magnolia Voice will keep you up-to-date when construction begins.
