Girl Scout food drive tonight

Magnolia?Girl Scouts are?conducting a food drive to benefit the Ballard Food Bank.? This is?their?8th year, and they?have over 100 Scouts in 1st through 8th grade.? Each Scout has been collecting food door to door over the last week.

Tonight, the Scouts will canvas the neighborhood together between 6pm and 8pm.? The general area they are canvassing will be between Government Way in the North, 27th Ave W in the East, Smith Street in the South and 40th Ave W in the West.? You can view a more detailed map?here.

Please answer your door if a Scout rings or knocks or you may leave a bag of food on your porch with a label for the Scouts.
From Scout leader Jim Petersen:

This is just one of the service project we perform.? We sing carols after the Village Tree Lighting at Adult Family Homes and homes of the elderly, we collect supplies for Children?s Hospital, we make Blankets and Craft Kits for the children at Children?s hospital, we Sponsor a girl in Kenya so her family can send her to school, we conduct the flag ceremony at Blaine and Lawton for Veteran?s Day, we sponsor and run 3 Activity Nights at an assisted living facility ?and make toys for the pets at the pet shelter. We hope to build girls of Courage, Confidence and Character who can make the world a better place.

Thank you for your help.
