Big crowds for spooky Village fun!

October 31st, 2009 by Abner

A big crowd of kids and parents hit The Village Friday afternoon for some serious trick or treating.  While we don’t have an official head count, it certainly seemed like the crowd was larger than past years.  One merchant told us they handed out 50% more candy this year than last year.

There were lots of adorable little ones and many great Kodak moments.

And we noticed more grown ups in costume this year.

The little tykes are still our favorites.

A big thank you to all the shops and restaurants in The Village who hand out candy and make this such a special community event. Seattle Pie Company passed out tasty caramel covered apple slices.

Halloween in The Village

October 5th, 2009 by Gladys

We have had a number of people ask us about Halloween in The Village this year.  We wanted to let you know that the annual trick or treat event is set for Friday, October 30 from 4pm to 6pm.

As always, village shops will be open to hand out candy to the kids and McGraw street will be closed.  This is always one of the best nights in Magnolia and a safe way for the kids to have an excellent Halloween.

Make your Halloween plans now

October 21st, 2008 by Abner

A number of Halloween activities coming up in Magnolia.  The biggest is Trick or Treat in The Village on October 31 from 4pm to 6pm when the streets are closed and the stores hand out candy to the little (and sometimes not so little) ones.  An excellent annual Magnolia event.

You can also hit the Magnolia Community Center for the Halloween Carnival on Friday, October 24 from 6pm to 7:30pm.  It a family friendly evening full of games, prizes, goodies and pumpkin decorating.   There is also a costume contest.

And for the little guys check out the Halloween Tot Trek at the Discovery Park Environmental Learning Center on October 25 and 29.  This is for ages 2-3 and there is a $3.50 charge per child. The Trek starts at 10:30 both days and you need to call (206) 386-4236 to register.
