Lots of sunshine and warm temperatures meant for a picture perfect day for Mounger Pool to open.  The pool is now open daily on a preseason schedule.

The Pop Mounger swimming pool opens for the season on May 9th and today workers were giving it a good scrub to get it ready for a long summer.  Here is the schedule for the season.

Magnolia Voice reader Kristin Kennell took these pictures for us of the empty pool as workers cleaned it in preparation of the opening.   Both the main pool and the kiddie pool were cleaned.

If you are getting ready for pool season, remember that swim lessons are very popular and fill up quickly. If you still need a spot for your little swimmer, there will be a chance to register in person on Saturday (5/2) from 8am to 1pm. If you want to rent the pool for a special event or birthday party you can do that on Saturday too.

A couple of important dates for you to be aware of if you are planning to enroll your children is swimming lessons this summer.  Registration for all 2009 Mounger group swimming lessons will begin on April 7th at noon. Personal lesson registration will be on Saturday, May 2 from 8AM to 1PM at the pool. 

You can check out the group class schedule now on SPARC.  Its important to know that you must set up your SPARC account at least one week before registration on April 7th.

If you want to rent the pool for a party or event, reservations are available now by calling 684-4708. 

Make sure to call as soon as registration opens because swimming classes fill up very quickly.
