We snapped a few photos of Magnolia from a ferry this weekend.

It was a beautiful trip, so we thought we’d share a few photos from an angle you may not see very often. Click through the link below to see a few more…

View homes overlooking the bluff.

Pier 91 with two cruise ships in town.

Ok, not Magnolia, but we thought we’d share the classic downtown shot…

… and Mount Rainier.

Coyote still home for the holidays in Magnolia
December 24th, 2009 by Gladys
We know that we have shown you lots of coyote pictures recently but this one from reader Ginni is the best we have seen so far of the coyote who is calling Magnolia home.
It appears the coyote has no plans to visit out of town relatives this holiday season as we continue to receive daily sightings from readers.
Thanks to Ginni for the photo and Jeff and others for the latest info on the coyote.

More coyote sightings
December 16th, 2009 by Gladys
We are starting to wonder when the coyote sightings in Magnolia no longer qualify as news, since they are becoming a daily occurrence but for now we will continue to let you know when our readers spot him/her in the area.
On Monday a reader saw the coyote by the gas station in The Village which is the first report we have had of it in the main shopping area. On Tuesday morning around 7am another reader saw the coyote at 29th and Bertona.
This is our favorite picture of the coyote who has been living in the Magnolia area for the past month, and seems to cover lots of ground in its travels.

Coyote still at home in Magnolia
December 11th, 2009 by Gladys
It looks like the coyote is sticking around Magnolia for the holidays. Mark sent us this picture he took this morning
I was standing in my yard this morning and noticed the coyote trotting up 43rd street toward Magnolia Blvd. It crossed the blvd on the opposite side of our 3505 Magnolia Blvd home and continued casually toward Discovery Park.
The coyote has been seen in that area before and he has also been spotted numerous times on the east side of Magnolia too.
Thanks Mark for the photo!

Coyote still hanging around
December 7th, 2009 by Gladys
It appears the coyote that has been spotted around Magnolia the last couple of weeks is not going anywhere.
Amy says she saw the coyote this weekend, in the same general area it has been spotted before.
Spotted the coyote on Saturday, Dec 5th 9:15am right across the street from the Boxcar Ale House / Arco gas station - he was running around, not scared of people or cars. I think they are common in many metro areas - I think they live around here most of the
time!
This picture of the Magnolia coyote was taken in a backyard on 23rd Ave West.

Magnolia coyote spotted again
December 3rd, 2009 by Gladys
Its been about a week since we had a report of the coyote that has been roaming around Magnolia. Since early November it has been spotted near 40th Ave West, 23rd Ave West, and Pier 91. Magnolia Voice reader rdm reports in the forum that he saw the coyote again on Wednesday night.
I was sitting on my deck having a smoke (around 10:30pm), when Magnolia’s favorite coyote came trotting down the my alley between 20th & 21st W (half block north of Dravus - it was heading towards Dravus near the AM/PM). I wasn’t able to grab my camera quick enough unfortunately. I’ve noticed a few cats in the area with collars and tags roaming about. Figured it might be a good idea to keep your critters indoors for a little while.
This is the best photo of the coyote so far, taken in a backyard on 23rd Ave West. If you see the coyote, drop us a note at tips@magnoliavoice.com and let us know.

Coyote spotted on 40th Ave West
November 11th, 2009 by Gladys
Magnolia Voice reader Rick wrote to warn neighbors about a coyote he saw Wednesday morning.
I was outside my house this morning at 5:00 a.m. and as I was cleaning the street drain across from my property I noticed a Coyote walking down 40th Av. W. at the 5400 block. The Coyote continue to walk down the middle of the street headed north on 40th and then disappeared on to the hillside (Discovery Park) above the street. The Coyote did not seem frightened by my presence and it may be something that needs to be reported to your readers, especially ones with pets.
If anyone else sees the coyote, let us know in comments below.
