A couple of MagnoliaVoice readers took a tour of a snowy Magnolia today. Here is what they saw:

Snow around Magnolia
November 22nd, 2010 by Doug Alder
When it comes to snow this morning, the one main trouble spot seems to be the Magnolia Bridge (pictured above). As of 10am, it was still covered in snow in some spots but was fairly easy to navigate. A few drivers are taking it slow, especially those coming down the hill out of Magnolia. The main roads and side streets across Magnolia are bare and wet as of 10.
We also snapped some photos around 10:30 this morning in Magnolia Village and Magnolia Park.

Winter’s (hopefully) last blast
February 26th, 2009 by Gladys
Around 5 a.m. this morning, snow began to fall in Seattle and here in Magnolia, leaving up to an inch on the ground. As of 8:30am, most of the snow is off the streets and just lingering on cars and lawns. The sun is actually starting to come out right now.
All Seattle Public Schools started two hours late today with buses on snow routes and there are just a few changes for Metro buses. SDOT had its plows on the the main arterial routes.
The forecast is for decreasing showers and warmer temperatures so the snow should melt away quickly.

Snow day make up
January 11th, 2009 by Gladys
Sure, it was lots of fun for the school kids who missed three days of school due to the big snowstorm but now the Seattle school district has announced that the students will have to make up those days at the end of the year.
Three additional days have been added to the Seattle school calendar. Snow makeup days set for June 17, 18 and 19, 2009. This new calendar plan assumes that there won’t be any more days missed due to the weather. Let’s hope that holds true, we think we have all had enough snow to last us for awhile.
