UPDATE:  Here are the pictures we just took of the mudslides in Magnolia.  We are getting additional photos and will continue to update.  These photos were taken by Steven Smalley.

This photo of the slide on 40th Ave West was taken by reader CJ who says the city recently removed vegetation from the hill.

Crews are on the scene removing the dirt from the slide.

The rainy weather is taking its toll on our area.  We have reports of a mudslides in Magnolia.  According to readers, there are three small slides on 40th Ave West in the 5300 block.  One of the slides is blocking the road.

And according to Seattle Police and the Seattle Department of Transportation, two cars have been pushed over an embankment in the area of 32nd Ave West and West Galer Street.  No one was in the cars and there are no reports of injuries.  That slide that was reported around 7:30 this morning has closed the street, cutting of access to eight homes.

We have a crew on the scene and will provide updates and photos soon.  If you have pictures, make sure to send them to us at tips@magnoliavoice.com
