Blaine Arts tonight!

Catharine Blaine K-8 presents  “Evening of the Arts & ArtWalk”  tonight from 6-9:00pm. The entire Magnolia community is invited to stroll the hallways of the school and soak in visual art, theatre and music.  Here’s what you can look forward to:

Hallway galleries displays – over 3,500 student artworks including:

Gingerbread Kids and “Mini-Me” ornaments and magnets
Abstract Artworks – All grades “What Am I?”
(inspired by Seattle Junior League’s Visiting Collection of Abstract Artworks)
“Tondos”:  2D and 3D K-4th, Thematic Tondos 5th-8th
“Portrait a’ Portraits” – All-grades, Self-Portraits as recreated from classic artworks & Blaine Staff Portraits recreated from classics
Kirigami Art stars and flowers
Single-Cell Cartoons
Color Explorations
A Midsummer Night’s Dream student posters, designs & photos
Theatre Showcase:  Photo opps with costumes, actors and scenery!
Showing of Blaine’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” Performance Video
First Grade Plays: “The Land of Many Colors” Display and Video
Vocal and Instrumental Performances:
Elementary Chorus K, 1, & 2 from 6-6:15pm
Elementary Chorus 3&4  from 6:30-6:45pm
Glee Club from 6:45-7:00pm
(on stage in the Blaine Cafeteria)
Elementary Orchestra and Band followed by Middle School Band from 7-8:00pm
(performing in the hallways of Blaine while you walk and enjoy viewing student art)
Concessions will be available and proceeds benefit the Multi-Arts Program at CB K-8
